Energy Transfer, FERC Reach Wholesale Price Deal

Law360, New York (August 27, 2009, 5:55 PM EDT) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission enforcement staff has reached a settlement with Energy Transfer Partners LP over allegations that the natural gas company manipulated wholesale natural prices.

The Dallas-based natural gas company announced the agreement on Tuesday.

The parties cannot disclose the details of the settlement until it is approved by an administrative law judge and voted on by the FERC commissioners, according to spokesmen for both sides.
