Weatherford Nails Halliburton For Drill Patent Claim

Law360, New York (August 28, 2009, 5:34 PM EDT) -- Weatherford International Inc. has accused Halliburton Energy Services Inc. and General Plastics & Composites LP of infringing two patents related to oil drilling technology through the sale of Halliburton's Fas Drill line of products.

Halliburton's Fas Drill bridge plugs and packers willfully and deliberately infringe U.S. Patent Numbers 7,124,831 and 6,712,153, both of which are held by Weatherford, according to the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Thursday.
