9th Circ. Backs Feds In Sale Of Offshore Oil Leases

Law360, New York (August 28, 2009, 7:21 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed a ruling in favor of the Minerals Management Service, stating that the U.S. Department of the Interior agency did not act arbitrarily or capriciously in its preparation to lease Outer Continental Shelf oil and gas resources in the Beaufort Sea.
