Reid Says EFCA Resolution Unlikely This Year

Law360, New York (August 31, 2009, 2:43 PM EDT) -- The Employee Free Choice Act will not likely make it up for full consideration before the U.S. Senate this fall, according to Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., signaling a shift in political momentum that could permanently sideline the hotly debated labor bill.

“We have too many other things on our plate,” including contentious health care reform and cap-and-trade carbon regulation, Reid told an audience at the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce during a speech Wednesday, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
