Texas Supreme Court Sets E-Discovery Protocol

Law360, New York (August 31, 2009, 7:04 PM EDT) -- The Texas Supreme Court has set new standards for rules governing electronic discovery, in a contract dispute between homebuilder Weekley Homes LP and a lot warehouser involving a housing development in Texas.

In a ruling issued Friday, the state’s high court found that the trial court had abused its discretion in ordering Weekley to allow lot warehouser HFG Enclave Land Interests Ltd. access to the hard drives of employee computers.
