Microsoft, Tessera Object To Spansion Asset Sale

Law360, New York (September 1, 2009, 12:47 PM EDT) -- Companies including Tessera Inc. and Microsoft Corp. have lashed out at bankrupt flash memory provider Spansion Inc.'s proposed $35 million sale of its Singapore subsidiary to Powertech Technology Inc.

In objections filed Monday and Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, Tessera, Microsoft, Microsoft Licensing GP, SAP America Inc., Oracle USA Inc. and ChipMOS Technologies Inc. said they lacked sufficient information about the proposed sale, and that their rights could be violated by it.
