International Trade Finance Stabilizing: Survey

Law360, New York (September 2, 2009, 2:48 PM EDT) -- International trade finance is finally beginning to stabilize but still has a ways to go, according to a new benchmark survey conducted by the Bankers Association for Finance and Trade and the International Monetary Fund.

While trade finance markets have not fully bounced back, the survey did suggest that a recovery is under way in at least some regions. Results indicated the state of international trade finance is not as dire as it was when the last benchmark survey was conducted in March.
