E.U. Sues Germany Over Pharmacy Rules

Law360, New York (October 18, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European Union’s executive arm lashed out at Germany Wednesday, threatening yet another lawsuit over the country’s failure to ensure that non-German pharmacies are able to supply the nation’s hospitals.

As a result of Berlin’s alleged failure to heed warnings from last year, the European Commission’s Internal Markets office has taken its complaint to the E.U.’s highest court, the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg.
