EPA Inks $2.3M Deal Over Wash. Bay Cleanup

Law360, New York (September 3, 2009, 4:41 PM EDT) -- Solvent maker Detrex Corp., defense systems provider Goodrich Corp. and two lumber companies have entered into a $2.3 million settlement on behalf of several other corporate defendants to help clean up pollution in Commencement Bay, near Tacoma, Wash.

The Sept. 2 settlement in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington came two weeks after Occidental Chemical Corp. entered into a $1.6 million deal to help clean and protect the bay and its associated waterways.
