6th Circ. Sides With Novartis In Retaliatory Firing Case

Law360, New York (September 3, 2009, 6:43 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court on Thursday dismissed a case brought against Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. by a former employee who said she was improperly fired after reporting the allegedly illegal activities of her supervisor.

Judge Boyce F. Martin Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit upheld the ruling of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, saying the appeals court adopts the district court's "thorough and well-reasoned opinion as our own."
