Swedish Metal Co. Says Mich. Firms Stole Secrets

Law360, New York (September 10, 2009, 2:11 PM EDT) -- A Swedish company that specializes in a metallurgical process used in foundries and other industries has filed a trade secrets and false advertising lawsuit against several Michigan-based defendants.

Uvan Hagfors Teknologi AB's complaint, lodged Sept. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, was accompanied by a motion seeking a preliminary injunction blocking defendants Gran-Tech Inc. and Applied Soil Water Technologies LLC from misappropriating and disseminating its trade secrets.
