IBM Calls Out Amazon For Violating Its Patents

Law360, New York (October 23, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- International Business Machines Corp. has sued Inc. for allegedly building its business model on the use of IBM patents and for ignoring repeated demands that it either pay or stop stealing the intellectual property.

In the pair of lawsuits, which were both filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, IBM said it is entitled to billions of dollars in royalties from the online retailer.
