AstraZeneca Seeks Ruling in Crestor Patent MDL

Law360, New York (September 22, 2009, 10:32 AM EDT) -- AstraZeneca Plc has asked a federal court for a ruling in its favor in a nearly 2-year-old patent infringement litigation the pharmaceutical giant has been pursuing against several generic-drug makers over its cholesterol drug Crestor.

In a motion for summary judgment filed Sept. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, AstraZeneca asks the court to issue a ruling in the case ahead of a trial currently set for February.
