Ex-McAfee GC Says Co. Scapegoated Him

Law360, New York (September 17, 2009, 3:13 PM EDT) -- Now cleared of criminal and civil allegations of illegally backdating stock options, the ex-general counsel of McAfee Inc. has lashed out at the software company, saying its board of directors made him a fall guy.

Ex-GC Kent Roberts says the firm defamed him and contributed to his malicious prosecution by deliberately feeding federal investigators misleading and false information. Roberts filed his complaint Sept. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
