Tata Wants $6M In Telecom Spat With Gabon

Law360, New York (September 17, 2009, 3:42 PM EDT) -- A Canadian subsidiary of Tata Communications Ltd. has filed a breach of contract lawsuit alleging that Gabon Telecom owes it more than $6 million for unpaid Internet connectivity and other telecommunications services.

The suit, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, says that Gabon Telecom — the largest telecommunications carrier in the West African country of Gabon — failed to pay for services under a pair of contracts signed in 2002 and 2003, respectively.
