Cal-Maine Off The Hook In Okla. Poultry Waste Suit

Law360, New York (September 17, 2009, 6:20 PM EDT) -- Egg producer Cal-Maine Farms Inc. has been dismissed from the state of Oklahoma's lawsuit accusing a number of poultry producers of tainting the Illinois River watershed with poultry waste.

Judge Gregory Frizzel signed off on Oklahoma’s motion to dismiss Jackson, Miss.-based Cal-Maine on Thursday, shortly before the case goes to trial in the U.S. District Court for the U.S. Northern District of Oklahoma Sept. 21.
