Calif. City Agrees To Pay $3M In Chevron Enviro Suit

Law360, New York (September 18, 2009, 6:25 PM ET) -- Antioch, Calif., has agreed to pay $3 million to settle a solid waste pollution suit filed by a holding company against it and dozens of entities including Chevron Corp. over cleanup of land parcels by a city landfill.

In the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Wednesday, Antioch moved for an order establishing a good faith settlement with SPPI-Somersville Inc. and Somersville-Gentry Inc.
