Xerox To Acquire Outsourcing Firm ACS For $6.4B

Law360, New York (September 28, 2009, 12:48 PM ET) -- Xerox Corp. has announced that it will buy Affiliated Computer Services for about $6.4 billion — a deal that will allow the copier giant to move into the business process outsourcing business.

Xerox said Monday that it had signed a definitive agreement to buy ACS in a cash and stock transaction valued at $63.11 per share, which is worth $6.4 billion as of the close of trading Friday.
