Ala. High Court Sides Against Firms On Malpractice

Law360, New York (September 29, 2009, 5:47 PM EDT) -- In a boon for Wachovia Bank NA and its insurer, Alabama's high court has mostly reversed a judgment as a matter of law ruling against the bank in its malpractice fight with Jones Morrison & Womack PC and Stokes & Clinton PC over a malicious-prosecution suit.

The Alabama Supreme Court on Sept. 25 partly reversed and remanded the suit against Atlanta-based Jones Morrison and Mobile, Ala.-based Stokes & Clinton in a long-running legal fight with Wachovia and its insurer American Casualty Co.
