Pfizer Gets Lipitor Fraudulent Marketing Suit Tossed

Law360, New York (October 1, 2009, 3:50 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in Manhattan has thrown out a putative class action that accused Pfizer Inc. of fraudulently marketing the blockbuster cholesterol drug Lipitor by covering up certain side effects and misrepresenting the drug's efficacy in some patient groups, but she said the plaintiffs could amend most of their claims.
