Wi-LAN Slaps Conexant Over DSL Patent

Law360, New York (October 1, 2009, 5:50 PM EDT) -- Ottawa-based Wi-LAN Inc. accused Conexant Systems Inc. of infringing a patents related to data transmission Thursday, the Canadian licensing company's latest suit over the broadband technology patent.

The complaint — filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas — accuses Conexant of willfully infringing Wi-LAN's patent by selling digital subscriber line or DSL products using the International Telecommunication Union G.992 and/or G.993 standards.
