Sidley Austin Adds FDA Regulatory Counsel

Law360, New York (October 6, 2009, 5:31 PM EDT) -- Gail Javitt, former law and policy director at the Genetics and Public Policy Center, has joined Sidley Austin LLP as a counsel in its U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulatory practice in Washington, the firm has announced.

Javitt, who started three weeks ago, will focus on FDA regulation of laboratory-developed tests and in vitro diagnostic medical diagnostics, pharmacogenomics, genetic testing, the legal aspects of global clinical research, FDA regulation of human tissues and biological products, and drug-diagnostic co-development and other combination products issues, the firm said...
