Cardinal, Legacy Drop $5.7M Oil Lease Dispute

Law360, New York (October 07, 2009, 3:12 PM ET) -- Cardinal Hunton LLC and Legacy Energy LLC have called off their dispute over whether Legacy has fulfilled a contractual obligation to purchase $5.7 million of Cardinal's interest in certain oil and gas leases in Oklahoma.

Judge Frank H. Seay granted the energy companies’ request to dismiss the case without prejudice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma on Monday. Both parties will pay their own litigation costs.

No payments were involved in the amicable settlement, Legacy attorney Gary Davis said Wednesday....
