Tyson Workers Move For Class Cert. In OT Suit

Law360, New York (October 9, 2009, 4:05 PM EDT) -- A group of Tyson Foods Inc. workers from Tennessee is asking a court to certify a bid for class certification in a suit accusing the meat processing company of failing to pay proper overtime wages.

The plaintiffs filed a motion Wednesday asking the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee to certify a Rule 23 class of more than 4,800 current and former hourly workers from a beef and pork processing plant in Goodlettsville, Tenn.
