Jury Hands Eaton Loss In ArvinMeritor Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (October 8, 2009, 5:14 PM EDT) -- A federal jury has found that Eaton Corp. violated federal antitrust laws in the heavy-duty truck transmission market in a suit brought by two affiliates of rival ArvinMeritor Inc. alleging that they suffered injuries that could exceed $800 million.

A jury in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware issued the verdict Thursday after a monthlong trial, finding that Eaton violated the Sherman Act and the Clayton Act.
