Teva Sued Over Plans For Generic Angiomax

Law360, New York (October 9, 2009, 3:22 PM EDT) -- The Medicines Co. has sued Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Inc. over its plan to make a generic version of the Medicine Co.'s blood-thinning drug Angiomax.

In a complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, the Medicines Co. said that Croatian drugmaker Pliva Hrvatska d.o.o., a subsidiary of Teva subsidiary Barr Laboratories Inc., had filed an abbreviated new drug application with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to make its own version of bivalirudin, the generic name for Angiomax.
