Motorola Makes Bid To Oust SPH Counsel For Conflict

Law360, New York (October 9, 2009, 12:58 PM EDT) -- Lawyers for Motorola Inc. have asked a judge to disqualify the opposing counsel in a wireless patent fight with patent-holding company SPH America Inc., saying the ex-Howrey LLP attorney has represented their client before and has now switched sides.

In the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia on Thursday, Motorola counsel from Howrey moved to disqualify former Howrey attorney Brian Seal and his firm Highbury Chapman LLC from representing SPH.
