Stryker Wins $14M Judgment Against Insurer

Law360, New York (October 9, 2009, 4:25 PM EDT) -- A federal court has entered a judgment worth $14 million plus interest for Stryker Corp. and a subsidiary in an insurance case over allegedly defective Duracon Uni-Knee products, having rejected a partial summary judgment bid in which XL Insurance America Inc. sought to get off the hook for about $7.6 million in settlement costs.
