Online Retailers Smacked With E-Commerce Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 09, 2009, 5:35 PM ET) -- Bluefly Inc., The Estee Lauder Cos. Inc. and Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. are among several online retailers targeted by a Texas-based patent holder in a patent infringement suit over an electronic cataloging system.

Charles E. Hill & Associates Inc. filed the lawsuit Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging infringement of three patents that cover a method for producing information related to a selected product on remote computers and updating the remote computers.
