Homeowners Seek Cert. In Countrywide Loan Spat

Law360, New York (October 13, 2009, 7:04 PM EDT) -- A group of homeowners in Washington state is seeking class certification in a consolidated truth-in-lending suit accusing Countrywide Financial Corp. of misleading borrowers about the terms of their mortgage loans.

Named plaintiffs Randall D. Buckley and June Taylor asked the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California on Monday to certify a class of homeowners who obtained a mortgage loan or refinanced their mortgage with the defendants under misleading terms since August 2004.
