Mid-America Sues Excavator Over Pipe Break

Law360, New York (October 14, 2009, 2:08 PM EDT) -- Mid-America Pipeline Co. has hit a Nebraska excavating company with a suit alleging that its failure to check with authorities before digging led to the rupture of a buried pipeline and the release of tens of thousands of gallons of natural gas.

Mid-America, which operates a pipeline system through the Upper Midwest, filed suit against Wilson Excavating Inc. and its president, Dale D. Wilson, on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska.
