Merrill Exec Addresses Discrimination Allegations

Law360, New York (November 1, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Merrill Lynch & Co. CEO Stanley O’Neal gave a deposition Wednesday morning in a race discrimination suit filed by an African-American broker.

The deposition, which took place in midtown Manhattan, was just one part of the discovery phase in the case. O’Neal, who is black, was expected to answer questions about whether African-American employees at Merrill Lynch faced discrimination in hiring, promotions and compensation, according to Dow Jones.
