Court Pumps Up Insureds In Asbestos Liability Case

Law360, New York (October 15, 2009, 1:54 PM EDT) -- A Delaware state court has awarded summary judgment to two pump manufacturers in what could be a precedent-setting case involving insurance coverage for asbestos liability.

The Delaware Chancery Court on Wednesday granted motions by Viking Pump Inc. and Warren Pumps LLC entitling them to exercise the rights of an insured for asbestos exposure that occurred when they were both a part of Houdaille Industries Inc.
