Ex-Emerson Exec Temporarily Barred From Tyco Job

Law360, New York (October 15, 2009, 4:33 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has issued a temporary restraining order barring a former Emerson Electric Co. executive from working for rival Tyco International Ltd., which Emerson claims would violate several noncompetition covenants.

Judge Charles A. Shaw of the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Missouri granted Emerson's request for the temporary injunctive relief Tuesday, blocking David A. Dunbar — who held a variety of high-level positions with Emerson dating back to 1997 — from starting work at Tyco.
