Battlestar Producer Urges Video Antitrust Regulations

Law360, New York (October 22, 2009, 5:36 PM EDT) -- Battlestar Galactica producer Ron Moore urged the passage of rules to promote competition in video programming during a congressional hearing Thursday, arguing that media conglomerates are squeezing out independent producers.

The House Committee on Energy and Commerce's subcommittee on communications, technology and the Internet held a hearing called “Video Competition in a Digital Age,” in which Moore was a witness as a representative of the Writers Guild of America.
