Boot Maker Hits Foley With $2M IP Negligence Suit

Law360, New York (October 19, 2009, 6:52 PM EDT) -- Lawyers representing Foley & Lardner LLP have removed to federal court boot maker Danner Inc.'s $2.15 million lawsuit accusing the firm of negligence in representing it in its application for a patent Danner says it was later unable to enforce.

In Friday's notice of removal in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, the law firm says the prosecution of a patent application will be at issue in the case and thus it belongs in federal court.
