Judge Says Kelly Services Must Pay For Interviews

Law360, New York (October 20, 2009, 3:27 PM EDT) -- The judge overseeing a proposed class action against Kelly Services Inc. has ruled that the temporary staffing agency must pay workers for time spent interviewing for jobs, but does not have to compensate them for time spent preparing for or traveling to interviews.

Judge Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California issued a mixed summary judgment ruling Friday to Kelly Services and plaintiff Catherine E. Sullivan.
