Samsung Fined Over Anti-Microbial Keyboard Claims

Law360, New York (October 21, 2009, 3:57 PM EDT) -- Samsung has agreed to pay a $205,000 fine for making claims that its keyboards are anti-microbial without first registering the products as pesticides with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The EPA said Wednesday that Samsung would pay the fine and remove the claims it made in connection with the sale and distribution of the products at issue.

A representative for Samsung could not immediately be reached for comment Wednesday.
