DOJ Probes Sony's Optical Disk Drive Biz

Law360, New York (October 26, 2009, 5:37 PM EDT) -- Sony Corp. has disclosed that it received a subpoena from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division seeking information about its optical disk drive business.

The Japan-based consumer electronics company said Friday that it would cooperate fully with the DOJ and other agencies involved in the inquiry. It did not identify any of those other agencies by name, and did not provide any details about the scope of the subpoena.
