Obama Taps Longtime EEOC Atty David Lopez As GC

Law360, New York (October 26, 2009, 2:13 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama has picked P. David Lopez, a 13-year veteran of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and a former associate at Spiegel & McDiarmid LLP, to serve as the EEOC's general counsel.

The White House announced on Friday Obama's intention to nominate Lopez, as well as his intention to fill key posts at the U.S. departments of Homeland Security and State.
