1st Circ. Rejects Appeal Of Ruling On LNG Project

Law360, New York (October 26, 2009, 8:36 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has rejected the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council's appeal of a ruling in a lawsuit over its failure to act on local approvals needed for a liquefied natural gas terminal in Fall River, Mass.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit on Monday upheld a lower court decision rejecting regulatory barriers the council tried to impose on the project, which is sponsored by Weaver’s Cove Energy LLC.
