Industry Group To Counsel U.S. On Patent Reform

Law360, New York (April 19, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A new technology industry working group will counsel the U.S. government on making the patent system more responsive to technical innovation, FTC Commissioner Mozelle Thompson announced Friday at a high-level conference on patent reform at the University of California.

High-tech and biotech companies such as Cisco, Intel, eBay, Symantec, Chiron, Microsoft, and Genentech will join the group to work with regulators and legislators on patent reform, Mozelle said.
