Neuralstem Loses Bid To Toss Stem Cell Patent Case

Law360, New York (November 3, 2009, 3:19 PM EST) -- A federal judge has again denied summary judgment to Neuralstem Inc. in its battle with fellow biotherapeutics company StemCells Inc. over patents related to stem cells, setting the stage for a trial.

Judge Alexander Williams of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland ruled Friday that he had not erred in a previous decision finding that granting summary judgment would require the court to engage in premature claims construction.
