FSI Hit With Fine Over Valve, Pump Export Violations

Law360, New York (November 2, 2009, 5:45 PM EST) -- Microelectronics supplier FSI International Inc. has agreed to pay a $450,000 fine to the U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security for 66 alleged instances of exporting valves and pumps without the proper licenses to China, Israel, Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore.

The agency issued an order approving FSI's settlement agreement on Thursday, after the U.S. government alleged FSI had exported the flouropolymer-coated valves and tubes without a license between 2003 and 2006.
