FTC Extends Scrutiny Of MDS' $650M Sale To Danaher

Law360, New York (November 03, 2009, 3:26 PM ET) -- Antitrust officials scrutinizing Danaher Corp.’s proposed acquisition of MDS Inc.’s analytical technologies unit have extended their review of the $650 million cash transaction.

On Tuesday, MDS announced that the U.S. Federal Trade Commission sent the life sciences company a second request for information about the slated deal, suggesting regulatory concerns about Danaher’s expansion further into the life sciences instrumentation market.
