Google, Yahoo, Others Sued Over Online Map Patent

Law360, New York (November 3, 2009, 6:55 PM EST) -- Microsoft Corp., Google Inc. and Yahoo Inc. are among more than a dozen high-profile companies targeted in a patent infringement lawsuit over technology for making interactive maps on the Internet.

Frisco, Texas-based WebMap Technologies LLC filed suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern of District of Texas against 15 defendants, accusing each of operating Web sites with infringing mapping functions.
