Amico Drops Challenge Of Fruit Juice Duties

Law360, New York (November 04, 2009, 4:44 PM ET) -- American Motorists Insurance Co. has voluntarily dropped a challenge to U.S. Customs and Boarder Protection's marking determinations for a half-dozen fruit juice imports, having received compensation for the entries' unpaid surety bonds from two importers.

A deputy clerk in the U.S. Court of International Trade on Tuesday signed an order dismissing two separate cases filed by Amico in March 2003 protesting the marking duty determinations on six entries of bulk concentrated fruit juice into a Tampa, Fla., port in April and May 1999.
