Shire Settles With Apotex Over Epilepsy Patents

Law360, New York (November 4, 2009, 6:14 PM EST) -- Shire LLC has settled yet another patent infringement suit involving Carbatrol, this time by granting Apotex Inc. a license that will allow it to sell its own generic version of the epilepsy drug.

Judge Stanley R. Chesler of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey approved the deal on Monday, and his order was filed with the court on Wednesday.
