Centurion Recalls Kits With Faulty Tracheal Tubes

Law360, New York (November 05, 2009, 1:58 PM ET) -- Centurion Medical Products has issued a recall, listed as a Class 1 by federal authorities, of kits containing defective pediatric tracheal tubes by Smiths Medical that could cause ventilation problems.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Wednesday the Howell, Mich.-based company had alerted anesthesiology health care professionals and hospital risk managers about the recall of its Premie Pack, Kit Code LM 110, and Full Term Meconium Pack, Kit Code LM115, which contain Portex uncuffed pediatric-sized tracheal tubes that were subject to an earlier Class I...
