Corrected: Jury Finds For Tyson Workers In FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (November 5, 2009, 1:59 PM EST) -- In a suit brought by the U.S. Department of Labor, a federal jury has found that Tyson Foods Inc. violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay production line workers for time spent donning and doffing compulsory safety gear.

After a two-and-a-half month retrial in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, a jury on Wednesday found Tyson owed the production line crew at its Blountsville, Ala., plant $250,000 in overtime pay.
